In Eastbourne, UK, the world's first magnetic driven centrifugal pump was invented and designed to pump Dowtherm hot oil for the Imperial Chemical Industry at 300 degrees Celsius. The Howard family had a significant impact on the pump development and manufacturing heritage in the Eastbourne/East Sussex region of England. There were over 14 pump manufacturers in the region, producing rotating blades, gears, and magnetic drive pumps. Some of these companies are still in production today, but their past names include Bert Pumps and Brown Pumps.

In 1963, UKBERT was established in the UK and developed early high-speed centrifugal pumps, which were sold to chemical industry companies.We launched an early circulating pump with variable speed regulation function into the market.

The first Texas Agricultural Pump User Symposium was held in 1984.UKBERT has started producing professional volumetric pumps specifically designed for agricultural applications.

In 1990, a hard alloy slurry pump was developed for early hydraulic transportation of oil sand tailings.
